Carsten has produced over 200 documentaries, commercials and short films since the beginning of his career in 1990. In 1998 he founded Indie Film. Carsten is a 2006 EAVE Master Class graduate. In 2004 he received the Red Cross Humanitarian Award for THE INSTITUTION. MY HEART BELONGS TO DADDY (2018) received an Amanda for Best Documentary in Haugesund IFF 2018 & Honorary Mention, Gothenburg FF. In 2014 he released the feature docs BALLET BOYS & IDA’S DIARY both in competition at IDFA, in 2012 PUSHWAGNER at Hot Docs. Recent titles also includes THE GRENADE MAN (2016), THE NIGHT (2017), MUNCH IN HELL (2018). Co-productions include Mouka Filmi's THE PUNK SYNDROME (2012), Erik Gandini's THE SWEDISH THEORY OF LOVE (2015), Michael Madsen's THE VISIT (2015), & Johan von Sydow's TINY TIM (2020).
